Listening to: The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle - A Day to Remember

Yay blog blog blog! I wanna write in my journal more and just write everything, but being me, I'm paranoid of people reading it after I die and hence leaving a not so nice memory of me or something lol )= Not that I'm a terrible person or anything, just that my journal is more of my complaining, anger and such since I'm venting haha.

Uni has well begun, week 4 now, and I haven't really done any uni work )= That's really bad, I assume. I've decided to make a calendar of some sort to remind me of my assessments, because I've got my 15min tutorial presentation due next week and I haven't started, even though I borrowed the books from week 1 lol! Also next week is my music aural listening test, which I'm super screwed for! )= )= I have to train my ears to recognise a million different scales and stuff stuff stuff T_T Haha but I always end up planning my studying and stuff instead of actually studying hehe!

ANYWAYS! Some highlights off the top of my head..

Mon's exclusive 20th birthday! We bummed at Sommerset Hotel in the city from the arvo to night (others to the next morning). That was fun just bumming with friends <3. We had Burgerfuel and drinks and I planned on not drinking alcohol because I had City2Surf the next day haha, but I drank a bit lol >.<". Got home by 11.30pm HEHE!
SO early! But with good reason.

City2Surf. I done it to fundraise for Gawad Kalinga (GK). Migs, Danny and I went to Blacktown together and was on the train to the city around 6am, since we were told to meet at Hyde Park with the GK group at 7.30am. We came on time, with 4 other GK-ers there. We then realised that we momentarily forgot that most of the group were Filo.. T_T The run was ok considering, lol. It was the first time I wore my runners LOL so my feet really really really hurt 'cause I wasn't used to them )= Jogged/walked about 10km with Migs and Ate Corina, then Migs left us to go ahead. I hate having a weak bladder! And portaloo's are sooooo grooosssss! Omgosh! And then after the run we rested up a bit, then planned to go home by taking the free bus from Bondi beach to Bondi Junction, then finding out that the line for the buses was literally about 2km long! So we decided to walk another 4km to the station! After our 14km marathon! Oh man! I died 'cause my feet were hurting heaps )= But I survived lol. Got to Blacktown, bought Easyway and brought it to Mr. Ping's where we met up with Jose and Bev who also done City2Surf with the GK group. Then went home to shower and had to go for dinner at Blacktown with the fams. With aching feet ahaha.

Didn't go to uni the next day 'cause I was being a bit of a sook LOL nah not really. I more used City2Surf as an excuse not to go. But my feet still hurted, but by the end of the day I was pretty much fine haha.

oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo!!!! I finally got my 120gb iPod Classic! 'Cause I was gonna buy it, but Miguel was planning to get it for me for Christmas and he knew I was gonna buy it, so he told me he wanted to get it for me but I said Christmas was too far, so he bought it for me about 2 weeks ago? SOOO HAPPY! So I got my early Christmas present haha. Since I got mine early, I have him his present last week, which was a silver pocket watch where you can see the insides and stuff. It's pretty cool, I must admit haha! But I've still got another present to give him, but I can't just yet 'cause of complications, but that's ok lol.

Last Thursday was International Suit Up Day! Deriving from an idea from Barney Stinson in the series How I Met Your Mother (which I watched the entire series of during the uni break LOL!). But yeah! The idea was to wear a suit to uni/work/school.. whatever! To show that you're AWESOME (in Barney's words). I LOVE dressing up so I was super excited and suited up for uni! I wore my black work pants (lol), a white top, 3/4 black woman's blazer and black flats. I was meant to wear heels even, but the ones that matched were my sisters' and neither pair fit me )= . But yeah it was fun to dress up (= . Migs, Danny and I met up after uni and such 'cause we didn't wanna waste the event lol. So we went to Max Brenner's for like 20mins then went home ROFLMAOOOO! But I had work so yeah lol )=

Friday! Was Stelz' TWENTIETH birthday! Hehe! And it was FREAKING GREAT! We went to Argyle to meet up Mindy's crowd (also celebrating her bday). Stayed there for about 30mins or so, then headed to Purple Sneakers! Man I still love that place! Still my favourite so far (= Had some drinks, broke the seal, head twirling (not head banging) and jumping around and yelling and singing and drinking from jugs! Going home, on the way to the night rider buses, Lex and I bought Oreos and Tim Tams 'cause we're just so super like that! For the bus ride. But we ended up eating it while waiting for the bus. Omgosh most of us needed to wee soooo bad! Got on the bus, John, Migs and I sat near the back, Lex and Danny sat near the front. Halfway through the bus ride Lex called John informing us that they got off the bus 'cause Danny really really really needed to pee. He peed *somewhere* and Lex needed to but they walked to Stathfield station (about 10min walk) where she did. They full had an adventure! They had hot dogs and stuff and were meant to take the next night rider, which Aragon was on, but they missed it! John was dezzo and he was soooo super awesomely great! To my knowledge, he took Migs and I home (on the same bus), waited about an hour and took Aragon (next bus), waited another hour and took Lex and Danny! COMMITED! <3 <3 And ZOMGOSH once I got home, I ran into my house and peed for soooooo long! I peed about half a jugs' worth of liquid! No joke! I held it for THAT long, while the bus kept moving and shaking and bumping me and my weak weak bladder! Oh man that was missions!

Sunday was my first time to facilitate a Sacramental Program! Migs and I are facilitating Reconciliation classes this year. There's 3 weekly classes with 2 sessions each. I done the second session of the first class and I think I went alright (= We don't have any scary parents in our group so I'm happy LOL! Leah (not Subjiano) is facilitating with us, and it's her 7th year of doing it so she's pretty damn experienced! She's about 25? I know 'cause we talked a bit and she's in one of my cousin's grade haha. During my session, Migs was pretty much not there, 'cause there was a stray dog running around the church, going into the church and onto the altar even! Ahahaha! He caught it and brought it to the vet we go to in Rooty Hill so they can check if she's got a microchip, which should have the owner's details. No microchip, so the beautiful dog went to Blacktown Pound. Miguel got a little attached and named her Honey even. Not good considering she went to the pound )= But he said she was a really sweet dog (hence Honey). I can't wait to have a million dogs in my own home (that I own in the future)!

I spent my house key! Omgosh I'm such a loser! I have only one key, and I keep it in the coin part of my wallet so I don't lose it. On Sunday a lady came door knocking for donations for Kids with Cancer, I only had coins, so I emptied my entire coin section out and gave it to her, and she chucked the coins into a bag full of coins. She didn't see my RED house key! IT WAS BRIGHT RED! And now I have to get it cut again! I only cut that key a few months ago 'cause I lost my key before that! At least the key didn't have my address or anything on it ahaha.

Omgosh! Sooooooo excited for King Farook this Friday! The original band is playing! And with The Bakery as well! EFFING GUN! GUN GUN GUN GUN GUUUUNNNNN!!!! But I'm still kinda cut that I didn't get to see Young and Restless a few weeks back, 'cause they don't have any other gigs coming up )= .. But KING FAROOK AND THE BAKERY AT THE GAELIC! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Yeah I'm liking life right now. Seems pretty awesome and such (=

Oh! My Life! Lol seriously.

Listening to: my mum sing karaoke over and over and over and over again!

Yeah she's been going on for hours, going through the entire song book to see what songs she knows! T___________________________T

But yeah.. Oh noes it's raining hardish! How am I meant to walk my dawg y0? Hopefully she doesn't wee in the house S=

So my life lately! I haven't been blogging, which is weird 'cause I haven't had that much to do during these holidays. But it's good 'cause then that means that I rested up a lot (=

Happenings of my life during holidays not in chronological order..

Watched The Proposal with Kristina and Ericka. I really liked it! n_n We pretty much just watched the movie only 'cause we were all doing something just before the movie then watched it, then went home haha but it was still goods (= Cheap Tuesday ftw (=

Watched Harry Potter on the night of it's release with Jasmine, Kristina, Danny, Leah, Miguel and Danny's 2 sisters Coleen and Joanne. Twas pretty great (= Even though I haven't read the books (Yeah, I'm one of *them*.. But I've got a really short attention span!) And Ginny tied Harry's laces!

Watched Bruno with Miguel. Zomgosh that movie made me feel drained and soo dirty after! It was funny and all, but it was difficult to watch sometimes lol. But yeah I still liked it (=

Watched Year One with Miguel. Haha I liked this as well, and also didn't think it'd be (kinda) as cliche as it was, but it was still good. Hehe Michael Cera!

Watched *coughHannahMontana*cough* with Ericka, Mileva and Kristina. It was alright until the last song that I despise haha. Then Danny joined us as we went for Starbuck's after the movie and we sat in a spot that smelt a bit like wee )=

Then a few days ago, I watched *coughHannahMontanacough* again, but at Parra instead of Blacktown, and I had to go 'cause we promised my little cousin Isabella, who's 7yo. So I watched that movie again with my sister and cousin, and I noticed the penis drawing in her diary LOL (Kristina pointed it out the other time but I didn't catch it). She was happy 'cause we kept telling her on the day and the week leading up to it that we were watching Harry Potter but she thinks that's a bit scary and she really wanted to watch that movie and yeah. And her school friend coincidentally sat next to her (arranged Greater Union seating and all). Then after the movie we went to ToysRUs and had a cupcake each from Cupcakes on Pitt.

Wacthed The Hangover! Now that was a pretty awesome movie! Freaking freaking awesome! I'd love to experience what they did! But not to their extent.. ? S= Well I haven't had a hangover ever, and I've never not remembered what happened the night before, despite how much I've drank. But yeah, it was a cooooolls movie (=

On the 22nd July was Mine and Miguel's 57 months (4yrs 9months). I secretly bought him a shirt from Threaless Tee's (online) a few weeks ago, and it was conveniently delivered today haha.
http://www.threadless.com/product/532/Satan_s_Little_Helper
And now he said he's gonna shout me to dinner sometime next week, 'cause that's when he gets paid lol. YAY! OMGOSH I want steak! XD HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!

Other things I will blog briefly about because my sister needs to go online lol.

Uni marks: 3 high passes and a distinction. Damn you almost credits!

Uni timetable: this sem is gross again; 4hr breaks on both Tuesdays and Thursdays, but Fridays off again so yay long weekends! But..

I'm going part time at work: (I was previously casual) But soon I'll be getting paid $3 less an hour! T_T Which means I lose $12 a shift! T_T But if I'm not part time, they won't give me hours. And now I've been working 4hrs a week for the past 2 weeks and also this coming week T_T Stupid cheaper kids on holidays..

My cousin's first birthday!: 22nd July. His party was yesterday, and naturally, y family stayed forever. Haha me and my sisters and cousins and stuff played Mafia. It's funny when kids play it for the first time 'cause when we accused them of being mafia they caved and showed us their card without us voting LOL cute!

On 16th July was my parents' 21st Wedding anniversity! I baked some cupcakes and arranged them like a wedding cake ish thingo, being innovative with cups and plates lol. We went out for dinner at Blacktown Workers Club with rello's and their friends and Miguel and yeah lol.

I finally cleaned my room! During the last days of holidays lol. 'Cause of games night that ended up bumming night ahaha. It was nice (= Had some drinks, but not enough to get trashed. And Miguel felt sick so he slept in my room the whole time rofl.

Danny had his first anniversary of his 19th birthday! We bummed and drank at his house when his rents went away for the weekend lol, then on his real bday we had a bbq. Also that day I had to go to the city for a little performance for a GK presentation to the Universal Peace Federation, so I left the bbq early and didn't have any of the 3 cakes present )= But we played taboo (=

I've been watching How I Met Your Mother these holidays, from season 1 to 4 (that's all there is), and mostly from Miguel's Xbox at his house, so I found reasons to come over and watch LOL n_n

Ericka's bday was celebrated a World Bar with teapots! That was fun, I felt very sophisticated drinking alcohol from teapots haha! And before World Bar, we ate at Burger Fuel. ZOMGOSH YUM! I love sweet potato fries and that sauce! YYUUUUUUMMMMM!

I've been baking these holidays, mostly cupcakes. I'm pretty awesome (= They're yummy, super yummy (= (= (= And I made them from scratch! And I must teach Jesse how to grow crops and farm to bake from scratch, as I do. HEHE!

I'm still cut about Michael Jackson )=
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Jackie vomitted a while back, and I knew that dogs vomitting was a super bad thing, so I took her to the vets', he said that she seemed fine, so he gave her antibiotics and needle. Then a few days later she vomitted again, then the other vet (there's 2 vets at the clinic thing) said it's probs her having a sensetive stomach to certain foods or brands of food and stuff, except I don't know which one it was, so now I'm keeping her on Nature's Gift and My Dog (=

And now I've got uni tomorrow )= But at least Mondays are my later starting days (=

)=

Aww boo.

Not feeling awesome atm )=

1. I ate a bunch of stuff that won't assist me in finishing City2Surf,
2. I'm still a bit sick and I have a performance on Monday night,
3. I don't have much money.

None of those are the real reasons why I got upset in the first place. Well they contribute, but I'm really just looking for something to complain about 'cause I'm not happy Jan. Jan must be some depressed woman who's pissed off at everyone telling her that they're not happy. If I were Jan, I would tell people to tell me when they ARE happy, Jan.

Just not feeling so loved. (Not to do with Miguel, that's obviously firstly assumed, but it's not him).

And I don't know how to use Torrent and I have it and I want albums in real life but I don't have money so I have to download them but then I don't know how to use Torrent )=.

Boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo.

Why hello Boo Boo.

Things and Things!

Aww! Boo boo! I was meant to click on the next tab in my window, but I accidentally clicked on my YouTube bookmark instead! And I already started blogging in this and stuffs! GRAH! But that's ok I guess. I have to cut down on my rambling. Really I do. Maybe it's a psychological problem? Or some sort of mental condition? Maybe that's why my mum's a nurse, who works in Westmead Hospital and Marsden Hospital (for the mentally retarded).. AHAHAHA I was rambling! Isn't that.. ironic?

Leah and Danny are breaking my currently-in-tact, music-festival hymen! I'm going to Parklife! In October! HEHE! So far, I'm going with Leah, Danny and Annabelle.

YAY! I paid off my credit card today! 'Cause I got paid! YAY! Now I don't have much money lefts )= Nah but seriously! My fingers are cold! And so are my toes! And I'm wearing socks even!

My dog likes to sleep on my lap when I'm on the computer or laptop (= She's on my lap riiiiiggghhhtt now. Sometimes her head leans on one of my hands, so I have to type with one hand lol S= She keeps me a little warmer n_n But my toes and fingers are still still still still still cold! )=

OOH! Let's see my plans for the remaining of my holidays!
~ Barbecue
~ I'm meant to go to dance classes but I don't think that's happening because I have to pay for Parklife )= (=..? I really excited to dance but )=
~ I wanna go real piano lessons. Somewhere. Cheap.
~ Drive drive drive! I've only driven once these holidays so far. And I've driven a bit before, but I didn't log anything, so according to my log book, I've driven for 3 hours! )= I really want my P's by the end of this year. At least.
~ Still have to finish my almost finshed teddy bear. I was soooo so so close, but then I didn't know how to put the eyes on, then I didn't touch it after that )= Sorry Beb )=
~ Fix my bag. I have to sew it up a bit. To make it smaller. Because it's humungo dungo!
~ Learn how to knit! Someone teach me please?! I really wanna learn!
~ Get fit and stuffs! 'Cause I'm doing City 2 Surf this year for GK! Please help me! Which reminds me..
~ Make my City 2 Surf Fundraising Page!

Damn.. I just called work 'cause someone said that they might've wanted me to take their shift, then they asked me to work now.. T_T Damn it! I shouldn't have called! And my uniform's still dirty! DAMN!

And I will blog at a later time! (=

What'd you say about my mum?!

Yay! Let's blog!

So yeah, I haven't blogged in almost a century or so.. I'm sorry guys.. Not like people really really keep track anyways haha but yeah. I like to think I'm cool and special like Natalie Tran (communitychannel - YouTube). Yeah. She's freaking awesome I recks. Haha I hate that word. And many other abbreveations. Although I do say "lol" in person and perhaps a few other internet jargony stuffs.....?

Lmao yeah I just realised I started to ramble a little there. What's new? Deal with it. B*TCH! LOL JOKES! <3 <3

ANYWAYS! I'm in a good mood, for no particular reason. However the fact that I've had a week of no assessments, and a week and a half 'til my two exams, I'm pretty sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeett.

OMGOSH! Did you know! That consumption of sugar (supresses? decreases?) your immune system, which makes your body more vulnerable (like your mum was to me last night) to swine flu! WHICH MEANS, ladies and gentlemen, that if you consume sugar, YOU GET SWINE FLU! ZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Except diabetic people, type a. Or was it b? You know what I mean!

And yes, I am almost that paranoid about swine flu. Why? BECAUSE IT'S REAL. Also, because I realise the serious health dangers and ease of contracting this disease, which may lead to DEATH in the black black BLACK pits of SWINES.. flu.

I think I'm kinda freaked out enough, that I'm not very willing to go to the city at the moment. Go clubbing? Sure, hold on, let me get my mask. LOLS I don' have a mask. Yet. (I'm most likely seriously gonna get one - that'll be a sure fire way of picking up.. Hey, how you doin'? Not that I want to pick up or anything.. *ramble ramble*).

So I still haven't gotten used to the Fridays off for uni, and constantly get confused on weekends, thinking that Fridays are Saturdays, and Saturdays are Sundays. Then Sunday comes and it's like OOH! Another day off! So I guess that's pretty cool. But it doesn't really matter now 'cause yesterday was my last day of uni for this sem! Horrah! n_n

Took Jackie (my dog) to the vet today! To get tested for heartworm (a little late but at least I actually done it! Unlike other negligent pet owners who don't realise the real risks for their hopefully beloved pets!). Since her first visit to the vet in March or something, it has been realised that Jackie is very very good with needles. She doesn't do anything, she just stands there and let's the vet stab her! That could possibly be bad in the future in terrible situations )= . But still! She was very good when we went to the vet! Kind of. Lols.

My toes are cold.

And I think I actually want snuggies.

Actually, I think i just want socks right now lols.

I need to weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

And I'm really just blogging to kill time while I wait for communitychannel's videos to load. Because I stopped watching them 4 months ago, and I tried catching up before, but then my internet decided to be an ass and be gay and homosexual like me and your mum.

The end! (=

Hello! My fellow stalkers!

So!

In my opinion, if you read someone's blogs, you are a stalker of some sort, and hopefully, the very lowest level of stalking (as in not a pro, not lowest level as in you're worthless or something something..)

But that's kinda cool that some people are possibly reading this blog and stalking me! It means I'm thought of in some way! Which means I will be remembered somehow by someone! *knock on wood*

I'm trying a new font 'cause I feel like it (=

It looks like a type-writer.

I have an essay due on Monday, so that's obviously why I'm finally blogging after so long, as a real ish blog LOL!

Actually, this isn't really a blog, I kinda just wanna type stuff...?

I bought myself a journal! Like a real journal that you literally write in, not type. I'm so glad because then I can finally express myself properly, without holding back anything at all and stuff. Because I'm pretty sure that no matter who I open up to, I'm keeping something from the story or whatever, whether it be deliberate or subconscious or accidental or whatevers.

I seriously wish I could type this much and take so much time on my assessments as I do on the internet (ie. Facebook, blogging.. if I feel like it, YouTube-ing and other academically pointless tasks).

I had a cup to tea, followed by a relatively strong cup of coffee (strong in both suar and coffee) and some caramel chocolate, so I've had quite a bit of sugar. YAY! I also ate Mi Goreng, which has carbs and salt, which doesn't really assist me in staying awake.. to my knowlegde.

So I'm gonna try and do most of my essay tonight, because I don't wanna do most of it tomorrow lol.

I have a tummy ache.

I worked today (ANZAC Day), which means I'm getting paid double time and a half for 4 hrs! It was only 4 hrs yeah I know but it's $37/hr! At freaking Woolies! Ooft!

I just farted.

I should really do my essay.

For my essay, I have to basically musically analyse a song in it's performance. Talk about the techniques used and what it achieves to the listener. Don't know why I felt it was necessary to write that, but I did. In this moment in time, I do not have a backspace key. Not because it isn't on my keyboard, but because my laptop is running out of batt 'cause I was only meant to load the song I'm meant to analyse onto it so I didn't bother plugging it in or charging it in an attempt to be quick. Instead, I went on Facebook, Netbanked and am currently blogging.

Ps, notice how I said fellow stalkers, meaning I'm kinda a stalker as well, because I try to follow some people's blogs and one person's v-log (but I've gotten really lazy with uploading the vids so haven't seen an entry for months), and I also extensively browse through Facebook at the worst times possible (when an assignment is due, just before work, just before any other sort of appointment I should be getting ready for).

I'll do a proper blog hopefully soon ish. No promises, no disappointments HEHE! (As in, I'm not promising to blog soon, I'm not talking about life in general and what not, but I guess that could be true, in a sad way and stuff.. I type too much in unnecessary places, like between these brackets, that are actually called parentheses, because the square ones are actually brackets)

I'm wasting my sugar+caffiene rush on my blog. LLOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!

Thanks guys, for kinda stalking me! (=
Much love! If you leave a comment and such, I may stalk you back! (;

Passing time.

I tried being all "normal" and stuff at the beginning, but I got distracted halfway through, came back to this and couldn't be bothered trying. Yeah I'm really sorry I'm sounding pretty upset lol S=

Ten Things I Wish I Could Say to Ten Different People (but don't say their name):

1.   You're sooo freaking cute that you deserve to be set up with my awesome friend

2.  I'd honestly be really pissed off at him right now if I was in your position, so I imagine

3. I never know what to think of you

4. Are you really a player? (not about Miguel dw lmao)

5. You're cool as a friend, but I question your morality and true intentions

6. You really can't sing

7. If I ever had a child like you, I would hate myself

8. You are the exact opposite of what I ever want to be, in this life and every other possible life (not that I believe in other lives, and this isn't about my rents or anything, dw again lol)

9. I'm jealous of you, but part of your personality is pretty screwed up

10. Don't ever compare yourself to me, I'm not in that league

Nine Things About Myself:

1. I fart in front of people I'm comfortable with, even in their face (ask Aragon)

2. I'm crap at writing poems/lyrics

3. I truly believe that if I had more space/less stuff, my room would be a thousand times cleaner almost all the time

4. I am still in the "personal fable" psychological stage (as described by D. Elkind)

5. Due to previous point, I therefore care about what other people think

6. I don't find myself as having an interesting personality

7. I find doing this particular task of listing 9 things about myself extremely difficult to not sound depressing (although I'm not depressed, just not in a great mood atm)

8. I sometimes wonder what my funeral would be like, who would turn up, what they would do and say, etc etc.

9. I have the ability to make my dog's hind leg twitch (in delight) when I give her a tummy rub

Eight Ways To Win My Heart:

1. Love music – play an instrument/s (which includes voice as an instrument thank you!)

2. Find kids cute/funny (apparently, what girls find "cute", guys consider "funny")

3. Love animals, particularly dogs

4. Make me genuinely laugh, preferably make me almost/actually pee my pants

5. Compliment me/smooth talk (lol yeah I'm such a sucker)

6. Be truly different to other guys, preferably slightly feminine (for emotional reasons.. ask if you're lost lol)

7. Being knowledgeable (but not being cocky about it)

8. Going out of your way to impress me (not necessarily distance-wise)

Seven things that cross my mind a lot:

1. Uni and work to do with uni

2. My boyfriend and family and friends

3. Food

4. My future and almost everything about it

5. How things, including people, got the way they are (scientifically/socially)

6. The happenings in every different level of society and group and such

7. What people are thinking

Six things I do before I fall asleep:

1. Talk to Miguel

2. Pray

3. Move my dog to the side of my bed (yeah, she sleeps on my bed with me, on a diff blanket but)

4. Big, in-bed stretching

5. Set my multiple alarms and/or check the time (depending on the day)

6. Think/wonder about things

Five people who mean a lot:

1. God (which really constitutes as 3 persons to me..)

2. Mum & Dad

3. Jane & Angela

4. Miguel

5. A lot more obviously, but I don't wanna pick and choose from my friends, and plus I already cheated anyways lol

Four things you're wearing right now:

1. Black home pants (nice and warm)

2. Red long sleeve sleepy top

3. Underwear

4. .. Hair?

Three songs that you listen to often:

I don't have a constant three

Two things you want to do before you die:

1. Travel

2. Write a legit will

One confession:

                Unsatisfied.

Venting?

I can't sleep. Or don't want to, really.

WARNING: The following blog entry may be slightly depressing to read.

So now I'm doing 8hrs at uni as oppose to 23hrs last year. I've realised that this gives me A LOT of time to think to myself.
For those who don't know, I have 2hrs of uni a day, Mon to Thurs, and these 2hrs are usually separated by a large break (with the exception of Wednesdays) - 4hr breaks on Mondays, 7hr breaks on Tuesdays, 5hr break on Thursdays. I'm too poor and license-less and car-less to do anything worthwhile during these breaks.

My point is, that I've been thinking a lot more than I used to, which means I'm thinking almost all the time now. Sometimes I enjoy thinking to myself, but of course, it depends on what my mind wanders off to.

Having a lot of time to think (during breaks and train rides etc) and the week before my "rags" (my very emotional time of month) doesn't go together very well. Being grumpy and tired doesn't help either. Annoying and otherwise clashing personalities worsen the situation further.

To those reading, other than Miguel, you are VERY lucky you're not my boyfriend, particularly during this "time of month". I know there are people who don't believe in the emotional changes of women before/during/after their "regulars", but scientifically, I believe it. Think about it, your body is "disposing" of unused eggs, which is connected to the reactions of different hormones, which end up going crazy in the body and hence causing emotional changes. (You can tell I'm not bothered to get into specifics). But honestly, i think it's true, also because it is only (usually) once a month when me and Miguel fight, whether it's a serious fight or not so serious, and I know of other couples that experience the same monthly fights.

Why am I going on about this? I don't know. I don't feel like sleeping. I'm a little upset. I really wish I could express everything I'm really thinking and feeling, but this is public and such, so I can't really.

Btw, for those who actually read this blog, I'm so sorry for the massively long, uber huge gap between this blog and my last one. I've been pretty lazy and preoccupied with other things, whether it be uni (not really), thinking about stuff, or just being lazy. But I think, subconciously, I haven't blogged in a while because I found out that there are actually a few more people than expected that read or have read this blog, which for some reason made me reluctant to tell the world of what I'm thinking and/or feeling because there actually IS people out there reading it. I know it might sound stupid considering it's a public blog and all, but this feels more like a semi venting space to some people, but not heaps and heaps. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy people have actually read my blog, it's kinda flattering I guess.

Yeah.. I promise I'll make a happier, more "normal" blog later. Perhaps tomorrow if I'm bothered lol (=

Thanks kids.

Philippines! - The Build

So of course, the build was the best part of the trip, the reason why we were there, and what formed all the different kinds of relationships between people.

At the airport and at our first group dinner at Jollibee, we were strangers coming together for a common cause, but by the end of the build, we were like one massive, insanely huge GK family. You could feel the love to and from everyone! Some in different ways HEHE!

Some events during the build from memory..

I think it was the second day of build, at the end of it when half of us played a physical, running around kinda game and the rest done whatevers, the girls (Cheng, Cres, Leah and Marylou) done their laundry together (manually hand washing and scrubbing clothes together with the use of water, laundry detergent and a bucket). While they done their laundry they had full dnm's without me! This was their first one. It was 'cause I was playing the game outside hehe! But yeah, the night of that arvo, I joined their chit chat ness during dinner. It was just like girly talking and talking about our GK crushes and stuffs. So since then, we had talks in the night and stuff, half the time it was just talking about random stuff. Omgosh Leah's freaking funny as! And she doesn't mean to be! She's one of them really really book smart people who's just kinda not so smart common sense wise ROFL! <3 <3 Yeah Leah was the one who accidentally said suggestive slash blatantly sexual comments, unintentionally! LMAO! And then I ended up being the second dumbest or something. Sometimes we were equal? But everytime I said something sexual unintentionally, I'd be like "NOOOO! I AM NOT LEAH!!!" But I think for some reason, Leah was at her dumb peak during the build. No idea why ahaha. And after the build it seemed to be me so yeah lols! >.<" And Cres had her dumb moments too! But not as often as me or Leah. And the Cheng was just really deaf! LMAO! So yeah us girls ended up pretty chummy.

OMGOSH! After all the times that Cheng mocked me and laughed at me (with the rest), she had an ultimate blonde moment! This was after GK, we were eating Jollibee before going to a party, and it went like this (shortened, paraphrased version) -

Miguel: Yeah I work at the Wiggly Play Centre. I have to wear the Wags the Dog suit sometimes.
Kuya Raffy: Doesn't it get hot in there?!
Miguel: Nah it's alright, there's aircon.
Cheng: What, in the suit??
*pause*in shock*did Cheng just say that?!*
Everyone: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yeah that was heaps good! Even though it wasn't part of the build BUT ANYWAYS! (=

OOOOHH!! One of the best, funniest things that happened during the build! We were on a short break during building just sitting down and bumming a bit. Miguel always teases Sarah (from Melbourne) and vice versa. They were saying something, I don't know, that's irrelevant, and then Miguel got his FRESHLY USED, sweaty, dirty, still warm working sock and THREW IT AT SARAH'S FACE! As as reaction and in disgust, she threw it back at his face, where it got STUCK IN HIS BRACES! And then!!!! He was like "Aaaahh! It hurts! I can't get it out!"
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
I swear it was the funniest things you would see in your life EVER! The sock was dangling by a thread that was stuck in his braces! It was THE BEST! This was like the story of GK that almost everyone knew about! Oh man that was ultimate! Not that many people actually witnessed it though, maybe about 6 of us including the 2 involved and me. THE BEST!

Oh man! On the paint fight day of the build, we finished digging the second of two septic tanks (a massively 7ft deep rectangular hole), so a bunch of us jumped inside it and moshed! It looked heaps mad! (I didn't get to go in 'cause I got there late and it was packed. Boo!) But yeah it looked AWESOME! They were jumping to house music they sang themselves, and people outside poured a bucket of water in and made it even more muddy than it already was so everyone was slipping and sliding everywhere but didn't fall 'cause they were compressed together. It was awesomely messy and dirty! Esp since everyone was already covered in paint before that! There's a vid of it somewhere on FB and/or YouTube. Then eventually people started coming out by a simple ladder one by one, but then before Kuya Raffy and Ferdie could get out, James took out the ladder ROFL! So they stayed in there a little longer and mud wrestled! ROFLMAOOOOO! There was body slams and everything! But they love each other so it wasn't crazily painful for them or anything. There's also a vid of this on FB and/or YouTube! But eventually they had to come out and we continued doing whatever we were doing lol.

Man there was SOOOO much that happened during the build, I can't remember everything slash I can't put everything up LOL! But yeah, it was freaking awesome! Best YGAT I've been on so far (even though this was only my second one). It's seriously such a good experience  and a real eye opener. Everyone experiences GK in a different way. It's totes open for all of you to try! And GK's not only in Phils! It's in Papua New Guinea, Cambodia, India, soon to be in Africa, and there's other countries but I just don't know them all lol. For anyone reading who wants to make a REAL, physical difference, a difference where you don't just send off your money and hope it's going to the right place, if you want to INSPIRE the people you are helping, I really think that GK is the answer. It's tackling poverty at a different angle, the way it should be dealt with, head first. It's about stepping outside of your comfort zone of 5-star living in Western worlds.

Before critisizing, a lot of people always say "Why bother spending your money to travel overseas and do it? Why not use that money for the materials and pay people to build?" It's not about just letting other people do it. Actually going all the way overseas, using the money you worked hard for, it shows to the people in the villages that you really DO care about them, they they're worth it. To all the filo's out there, how many times do you hear that a family member overseas has fallen seriously ill and your mum or dad or other family member flies over because they care about them. It's the same sort of thing!

Anyways, I've got a lot to say about GK. Anyone who's experienced GK will support it with all their heart, I know, you just can't help it because you just know that it's such a great cause, you just know that GK is the answer to poverty. And bear in mind that GK doesn't only build homes for those without, they also build facilities such as schools, community centres, medical centres, etc. And! GK provides different programs such as educational sponsorship ($300AUD from kindy to the end of high school or maybe even college), livelihood programs such as teaching fishing, sewing, carpentry, etc, and there's also youth rehabilitation programs (because before GK, there's a lot of teenages that turn to drugs and alcohol which usually result in violent behaviours to forget about their depressed situation, as early as 10yrs old).

Like seriously, you don't understand how passionate I am about this, especially since after going on GK. There's just soo much passion that my hands have been a little shaky and my mind's been burning with thoughts 'cause I'm trying to write the right things. You can't help but be so passionate about GK, especially after hearing the stories of the people who live in the GK houses, hearing about their old life and how much it's truly changed their entire life because of the generosity of so many volunteers of GK. No one gets paid in GK, we are ALL volunteers btw. We do this out of love for our brothers and sisters in our homeland, and even if Phils isn't your homeland, you'll feel like part of the family when you live in the GK village because they're just so caring and loving. They become your "GK family" as everyone says. I've got my GK mum and dad there, my GK sisters, Bernadette and Bianca, and GK brother Paul. And once you form this connection with them, your heart just burns so much to continue helping them and others like them. If you've seen my FB main photo, that's me and my little GK sister Bianca. I love her so much! I really do!

Philippines!

Listening to: Little Miss Pipedream - The Wombats

My 3 week adventure in the Philippines!

18th Jan 09: Sydney, Jolibee, Hotel

So our flight was at 12.30pm, but we had to be at the airport by 8am since we're such a big group to organise and we were checking in together. That morning, my dad woke me up freaked out saying "it's already 5.30!" which was the time I was planning to leave my house, so I got dressed and left. When I got in the car, I saw that it was 4.30. Zomgosh! So I was at the airport at like 6.30 or something! Oh mens!

By 8.30am or so, everyone was there and we got to meet everyone. I bummed with Leah, Ray an Nikkie mostly that day.

The flight was kinda bad. I'm usually a great flier, but by the end of that trip I felt sick, along with a bunch of other people like me. Poor Leah chundered 3 times!

From the airport, we went to Jolibee for a welcome, the low-down, and DINNER! There was soooo much food! It was GREAT! Groups and roomies were organised. Then we finally got to the hotel and crashed.

19th Jan: Touring Manila

Woke up early to go to Intramuros (not sure how it's spelt). This was a place of historic stuff to do with the Spanish taking over and stuff. Went to Max's for lunch. It was Marcel's birthday, so we sang for him, then a while later, the staff in the restaurant sang a few songs for him! Hehe! That was fun. Thens we visited 2 completed GK villages. They look so awesome! One of them is a different design due to restricted land, so they're skinny, but 2-storey! 'Twas cools! (=

20th Jan: Arrival in Palawan & Mayor's Special Dinner

We had to leave the hotel at like 4am or something for our flight to Puerto Princessa, Palawan, via Cebu Pacific. This flight was also not fantastic, but what can you do. We had a lovely welcome at both the airport and the GK village! We all got shell necklaces hand made by the GK village people! (= There was a welcome program for us, including dances by some of the kids in the village. We were then shown to our respective temporary GK foster home with our roomie buddies. I was assigned as the Tagalog speaker S= LOL! My Tagalog isn't so crash hot, you see. (we go in pairs or three's into different GK homes, with one or more translator kinda people).

After mingling with our adopted families and unpacking or whatevers, we gathered into our groups to make our team flags! I was in Jonno's team, and thanks to ME, our name was "Jamaican Me Crazy!" HEHEHEHE! Other names include Team Rock It, Mabuhay, Fried Chicken, Synerge, Team Menace, Turtles, Iguanas, and Centrafugal Creame Coloured Cougar Cats (later known as CCC-etc etc). The flags can be viewed via Facebook.

For dinner, we were one of few special groups invited to some special dinner hosted by the mayor or the Peurto Princessa. It was pretty fancy! We eated yummy food, there were performances, and we got rain sticks as a present! But most of us left it in the village for our host family since we knew we'd most likely not get them through customs.

21st Jan - 24th Jan: The Build

We got down to the dirty business! We started off in our groups doing different jobs, such as painting the steel thingo's for the roofs, laying and flattening the foundations for the house floors (by dumping dirt in and dancing all over it to flatten hehe), and beginning the digging of the septic tank (which had to be about 7ft deep!). Over the days we also sifted sand, mixed cement manually with shovels, moved bricks and heavy heavy bags and buckets of sand and cement, cleared the land around the houses, landscaped, cemented walls, painted walls, and painted each other! WEEE! The paint war is also on Facebook. (I had some battlescars even til a few days after! It's such a pain to scrub off, using a bucket to shower!)

The build was AWESOME! Of course, there was a constant, clean water supply, and we could take breaks whenever we needed to, no one was pushing anyone beyond their physical limits. We also had group breaks, where we had some snacks and games even! Games are great! Ooh! And we didn't build by ourselves! We had pro's and people from the village helping and telling us what to do and how to do it. Even the kids in the village helped! Annndd! People from outside the village came as wells! Like people from high school and uni's (but some/most came 'cause they had to as a part of school/whatevers. They helped nonetheless!).

This section of the trip created bonds and friendships between the YGATers AND the people in and around the GK village! There was a lot of sweat and different smells, and the viewing of nipples of shirtless males.. AHAHAHAHA! LOTS of things happened during the build!

I shall stop now, let your eyes rest, and continue this later. (=
